I can’t activate / re-activate Hitmix Bingo

If you have purchased a licence for Hitmix Bingo, please note it can only be installed on one computer. If you would like to move the licence to another computer, you would first need to deactivate the old computer from the Hitmix Bingo software, or you can use our licence reset system at https://reset.hitmixbingo.net.

  • Ensure the software is closed
  • Open the Hitmix Bingo software
  • Click on “Activate Software”
  • Paste in your product key
  • Click Activate

I can’t remember my activation key

Please login to our billing system at https://hosts.hitmixbingo.net where you can view all your existing licence keys. If your licence key is not listed, please contact us for support.

How do I cancel Hitmix Bingo?

Please login to our billing system at https://hosts.hitmixbingo.net where you can cancel an existing subscription by logging in and then clicking “Manage Subscription”. You may also contact us via the “Contact” page on the website and we will reply with confirmation of your cancellation.

How do I update my payment card?

What is your refund policy?

Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details. Please make sure you’re satisfied with the features of Hitmix Bingo by downloading and trying our free 14-day demo first. We’re unable to issue refunds for purchases made without testing the demo beforehand.

How many songs on a playlist?

We recommend to use three songs for every square on your bingo card. If you have a bingo card with 15 squares then use 45 songs, if you have a bingo card with 25 squares then use 75 songs. If you played each song for 30 seconds and you have 50 songs in the playlist, the full house / blackout game would take roughly 25 minutes to complete.

Can I use Spotify or other streaming services?

Hitmix Bingo needs actual MP3 or MP4 files to work. There are third-party tools – such as ViWizard Spotify Music Converter and similar programs – that claim to let you download or convert Spotify tracks into MP3 files.

However, these tools bypass Spotify’s digital rights management (DRM) and therefore violate Spotify’s terms of service.

Using them can result in:

  • Suspension of your Spotify account
  • Potential copyright infringement issues
  • Legal risk for public or commercial use

Why don’t my videos play properly in Hitmix Bingo?

Videos from legitimate sources such as WeMix or Xtendamix usually play fine because they have been encoded in the correct format (MPEG-4 H.264 AAC). Videos that have been ripped from YouTube or other sources will not be compatible unless you selected the MPEG-4 H.264 AAC codec when ripping.

How many bingo cards can I print?

On a 2×2 grid with 4 songs, you would be able to print out 24 unique bingo cards.
On a 3×3 grid with 9 songs, you would be able to print out 362880 unique bingo cards.
On a 4×4 grid with 16 songs, 20 trillion bingo cards.

Our creator Nick uses a 3×5 grid with 50 songs – about 20 septillion unique bingo cards!

How can I stop multiple people calling bingo at the same time?

Officially you can’t, although we know people have found ways around this rule. Bingo is a game of luck and it’s totally possible that two people could be waiting for the same song at the same time. You can manage this situation by splitting prizes or holding tiebreaker games such as Rock, Paper, Scissors to decide the ultimate winner.

How do I get listed on your host directory?

Please login to our billing system at https://hosts.hitmixbingo.net where you can click the “Create Profile” under the “Public Profile” section. If your activation key is listed in the billing portal, you will be automatically approved. If your activation code is not listed in the billing portal, please contact us for support.

How do I rename my playlists?

  • Open Hitmix Bingo.
  • Click the folder icon to the left of the playlist selector.
  • Open the “user” folder.
  • Rename the playlist to whatever playlist name you want.
  • Then open the “result” folder.
  • Rename the existing file to match your playlist name, with “_Cards” added at the end.

Example:

User folder file name: Party Hits
Result folder file name: Party Hits_Cards

How do I move playlists to another computer?

  • Open Hitmix Bingo on the old computer
  • Open the playlist you want to move from the “Game Select” area
  • Click “Create Playlist”
  • Click “Export Playlist”
  • The files (and their cue points) will be exported to a folder on your desktop.
  • Open Hitmix Bingo on the new computer
  • Click “Create Playlist”
  • Click “Import Playlist”
  • Locate the exported files and click “Open” to import them
  • Click “Save File” and give the playlist a name

How do I move playlists and cards to another computer with the same username?

  • On a Mac, playlists are stored in /Users/Username/Hitmix Bingo/user and bingo cards are stored in /Users/Username/Hitmix Bingo/result
  • On Windows, playlists are stored in C:/Users/YourUsername/Hitmix Bingo/user and bingo cards are stored in C:/Users/YourUsername/Hitmix Bingo/result
  • Copy the entire contents of the user folder from the old computer to the same place on the new computer
  • Copy the entire contents of the result folder from the old computer to the same place on the new computer

How do I play Hitmix Bingo with online cards?

You can run a Hitmix Music Bingo game using both digital and printed cards at the same time – perfect for hybrid events or mixed audiences.

Follow this step-by-step guide to create and sync both card types safely. Step 1: Create Your Playlist

  • Open the Hitmix Music Bingo program on your computer.
  • Create your playlist (for example, Motown Hits ).
  • Save the playlist when finished.

Step 2: Create Digital Bingo Cards

  • In Hitmix Music Bingo, select Create Cards.
  • Choose your playlist from the list (e.g. Motown Hits ).
  • Enter the total number of digital cards you need.
  • Configure your card settings as desired (rows, columns, layout, etc.).
  • Click Card Preview to check your design.
  • (Note: The card number will display as 100 by default.)
  • Once satisfied, click Save PDF and save the file to your chosen location.

Step 3: Register and Upload Cards to Your Host Account

  • Register for a host account at https://host.musicbingo.vip/register.php
  • After registering, log in at https://host.musicbingo.vip/login.php
  • In your dashboard, go to Add New Game > Select Your Game Card.
  • A file browser will open. Navigate to:
    • Mac: /Users/YourUsername/Hitmix Bingo/results/
    • Windows: C:UsersYourUsernameHitmix Bingoresults
  • Find and select the file for your playlist (e.g. Motown Hits_Cards.xml ).
  • Click Open to upload it.
  • The system will assign a 4-digit code to your playlist (e.g. Motown Hits – Game Code: 1234 ).

Step 4: Create Printed Bingo Cards

  • Return to the Hitmix Music Bingo program.
  • Click Create Cards again.
  • Select the same playlist (Motown Hits).
  • Enter the number of printed cards you want to generate.
  • Adjust the card settings as before and click Card Preview.
  • When satisfied, click Save PDF to generate your printable cards.
  • Important: The software will detect that you’ve already created cards for this playlist and ask:
    • New Cards
    • Add Cards
    • Cancel
  • You must select Add Cards.
  • When saving the PDF, give it a new filename (e.g. Motown Hits 1.pdf ) and choose a folder to save it in.
  • Open the saved PDF — you’ll see that the card numbers continue sequentially from where the digital cards ended.

Why This Order Matters The online system distributes card numbers starting with the lowest available number.

If you don’t create and upload your digital cards first, then add your printed cards, you risk issuing duplicate card numbers to different players — which can cause confusion or invalid results during your game.

Tip: Always double-check your card numbering before your event. Keeping digital and printed cards in separate, clearly labelled folders can help prevent mix-ups.

How do players login to play bingo online?

Ask your players to visit https://www.musicbingo.vip or scan the QR code.

What are the recommended software and hardware requirements for Hitmix Bingo?

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
  • RAM: 4 gigabytes (GB) when using audio files or 8 gigabytes (GB) when using video files.
  • Storage: 64 GB or larger storage device

How do I put the music videos / song titles on the screen for guests?

The Guest Screen feature lets you display visuals such as the current song, winning pattern, or slideshow on a second screen (for example, a TV or projector).

Follow the steps below to set up a second display and enable the guest screen in Hitmix Bingo.

Enable the Guest Screen in Hitmix Bingo

Once your second display is set up:

  • Open Hitmix Bingo and choose a playlist.
  • Click Guest Screen.
  • Under Select Screen, choose your display (usually Screen 2).
  • Choose a display mode (usually Full Screen).
  • Click Apply.
  • Click Back to return to the main screen.
